The American Board of Orthodontics is the only certifying board recognized by the American Dental Association for Orthodontists. Board certification is a voluntary process that provides an intensive independent review of an orthodontist's education and clinical expertise. Certification as a Diplomate signifies a unique accomplishment, which less than 25% of orthodontists achieve.
